V&V Seamless Gutters serves Belton, about 60 minutes in normal traffic straight up I-35. That is a real drive for us, so please call before you plan around a date. Belton's mark is its water: Nolan Creek runs through the center of town, the Leon River forms its northeast border across from Temple, and both Belton Lake and Stillhouse Hollow Lake touch the city limits. The 2020 census counted 23,054 people, and a 2023 estimate puts the city at 25,171.

Lake homes, creek lots and the split in Bell County soil

Bell County changes character around Belton. To the east lies Blackland Prairie, with deep, dark clay. To the west, the Handbook of Texas describes Grand Prairie uplands cut by stream valleys, with limy subsoils and steep bluffs in spots. Two houses a few miles apart can need different plans. On dark clay, we want 6 to 10 feet of discharge. On a rocky bluff above the lake, the concern is water running fast along the slope.

Under oak or juniper, a gutter guard cuts how often someone has to climb up, and on a tall lake-facing wall that is the part you want to reduce. Near Nolan Creek, think about which way the yard falls. Roof water should not add to a low spot.

The lakes hold real water. Stillhouse Hollow is a Corps of Engineers project on the Lampasas River, and Belton Dam on the Leon River works with it across the Little River system for flood risk management. Nolan Creek is the local story. The state's watershed report calls it a frequent source of flooding and drainage problems for Belton and its upstream neighbors, and the Central Texas Council of Governments ran a flood protection study on it. Belton averages about 35 inches of rain a year. Roof water will not change a creek, so we keep it from pooling on the low side of a Nolan Creek lot.

Belton is older than Temple or Killeen. It was settled in 1850 as Nolanville and renamed the next year when it became county seat. Census survey data puts the median home at 1994, with about one in six built before 1960. University of Mary Hardin-Baylor sits here, and about 44 percent of occupied homes are rented.

Gutter repair and installation near Nolan Creek

  • Gutter guards

Lake lots under oak and juniper fill fast, and tall walls make cleaning harder. Micro-mesh is the first style to price around Belton Lake, and we check how a guard sits on a high eave before quoting.

  • Gutter repair

Fix sagging or dripping runs on older homes near downtown and the courthouse. Older runs near downtown and UMHB can need corners resealed or hangers reset, which is a smaller job than a full tear-off.

  • Downspout installation

Direct water off the clay east of town or along the slope on bluff lots. We pick the outlet after walking the grade, since Belton ground can change from black clay to limy upland in a short distance.

  • Gutter cleaning

Clear rental properties near the university before spring storms. About 44 percent of occupied Belton homes are rented, so owners can book a clean between leases and keep a dated record.

  • Gutter replacement

About one in six Belton homes predates 1960. If a run leaks across many joints, one seamless length formed at the house can replace it, and the old pieces leave with us.

  • Storm gutter repair

The May 2024 tornado started near Morgan's Point Resort, across Belton Lake, so storms reach this end of the county too. If wind pulled a run loose, photograph it, stay clear and call.

Our process on a trip to Bell County's seat

It starts with your call. We check the schedule, then set a free estimate where we measure the linear footage, look over the fascia and mark downspout positions. A written quote breaks out gauge, size, color, downspout count and guards. On the day, old gutters are removed and hauled off, the new run is formed at the house, and we walk it with you afterward.

“V&V was great to work with. I met with them on a Monday to discuss my project. They came the next day and did a perfect repair and install on my gutters.”

Local notes for ZIP 76513

Belton's ZIP is 76513, and the Bell County Courthouse anchors downtown. Austin's permit exemptions do not carry over, so ask the City of Belton what applies to your address. If you are outside the limits near a lake, ask the county and any HOA. In a historically zoned area downtown, exterior alteration needs a Certificate of Appropriateness from the city's Historic Preservation Commission first.

The creek is also the green corridor through town. The city calls the Nolan Creek Hike and Bike Trail the signature trail in its system, running through Harris Community Park, Yettie Polk Park and Liberty Park, with the Harris Community Center on North Alexander Street. If your home sits near that line, tell us which side of the creek you are on and we will look at how the yard falls.

Belton gutter questions

How long does it take to get gutter service in Belton from South Austin?

The drive itself runs about 60 minutes in normal traffic on I-35. Timing for your job depends on our schedule, which is why we ask you to call first. We will tell you honestly when a crew can get there on a longer trip like this one.

Do guards make sense on a Belton Lake home?

Usually, if trees hang over the roof. Oak and juniper around the lake drop debris, and a tall wall makes each cleaning harder. Micro-mesh blocks fine debris while letting water through. Guards cut cleaning but do not end it, so plan an occasional check, especially after storms.

Should downspouts on a Nolan Creek lot in Belton drain toward the creek?

Only if your own grade already falls that way and nothing blocks it. Belton's creek corridor runs through the middle of town, and your yard may fall in a different direction from the water you can see. We check the grade at the estimate, keep discharge off the slab and a neighbor's side, and avoid sending a stream down a bank.
